# About Me
Hello friend, and thanks for visiting. I'm James — a software engineer based in Evansville, Indiana.
I'm always learning and expanding my knowledge; after all, I wasn't always a programmer! Most of what I know is self-taught — I took only a few basic programming classes in high school and college. I love digging deeper into PHP (my primary language) and branching out into Go, TypeScript, and Vue.
In my free time I enjoy personal passion projects, reading (mostly fantasy these days), tutoring mathematics and writing, and playing video games with friends.
